4’ x 6’ 8”   Vintage Baluch tribal area rug in an all over geometric pattern in dark navy, caramel, and dark red from the early 1900s.  The rug has extremely soft and shiny wool, The Baluch tribes live in the  southeast corner of Persia and western Afghanistan and they use dark red, rust red, or various shades of brown as their primary colors in their hand woven rugs, saddlebags, and salt bags.   This Baluch area rug has an allover design consisting of geometric forms in  dark red, navy blue, and camelhair framed by four different borders make for a very subtle tribal rug. The ends of the rug have Kilim weave in addition which adds to the beauty of the rug.  The rug has very high-quality wool and shimmers under light.
