Description
3’ 6” x 5' A Persian Farahan area rug from the late 1800s. Beauty, sophisticated design, and palate of natural dyes brought together in this 4th quarter 19th-century rug. The Ferahan rug with the Persian Garden design from the last quarter of the 19th century comes in an extremely fine weave. The primary field color is in saffron yellow with vines and flowers in red, blue, green, and yellow. The central medallion is in a dark blue field with designs in yellow, green, blue, and red. The primary border is in rust color with rosettes in green, yellow. pink and blue.
