This beautiful Kerman Lavar has a "Garden of Paradise" or also called "Tree of Life" design in the "millefleurs" (thousand flowers) of a floral and foliate pattern. The design is set on an ivory color field. The primary border is also in ivory color with flowers and tree design throughout.
The village of Kerman is located at the edge of the great desert in Persia and it is known for some of the most beautiful and colorful rugs that were woven in Persia. The weavers used the color and flower designs in rugs to bring some color and nature’s beauty to the dry desert environment that they lived in.
