9’ 6” x 12’ 6”       Vintage Persian Mahal Sultanabad room size rug in an allover design circa the mid 1900s.  The field is a rich red color with large scrolls reminiscent of the famous Sultanabad rug of the mid-1800s with large designs in baby  blue, cream, and light yellow colors.  The wide border in navy blue color with a large geometric design enhances the beauty of the rug.   The Ziegler Mahal Sultanabad carpets woven in Persia from the mid-1800s have become world renown and are very desirable because of their color scheme and open allover designs.
