Mahal Sultanabad 1755

One of the rarest and most desirable Camelhair Persian Ziegler Mahal Sultanabad room size rugs from the late 1800s.   The rug has a camelhair or pale saffron yellow background color in an all-over pattern consisting of large scale geometric forms connected via scrolling lines.  The rug is made even more special and beautiful by the use of brilliant colors including camelhair, navy blue, turquoise blue, green, red, pink, and yellow.  The border is in red color with geometric designs connected via scrolling lines and branches throughout.
