Description

This vintage mid-20th century Turkish Kilim area rug is a striking example of traditional Anatolian flatweave artistry. Hand-woven with natural wool and organic dyes, the rug features a bold geometric medallion design set on a vibrant red field. Two central medallions in ivory, green, and navy create visual balance and harmony, while subtle abrash—natural tonal variations in the wool—adds texture, depth, and character.

Originating from a village workshop, this Kilim reflects the cultural heritage and craftsmanship of Turkish weavers. Its flat-weave construction, minimalist design, and bold colors make it an ideal piece for layering in eclectic, bohemian, or modern interiors.
