Description

This vintage Persian Yazd rug (mid-20th century) features a refined floral design highlighted by a rare pomegranate red field, also described as a rust-red tone. At its center rests a small navy medallion, beautifully balanced by vase-inspired corner spandrels, all framed by a rich navy border that enhances the rug’s symmetry and depth.

Woven with a tight weave and medium knot density, this Yazd rug demonstrates the fine craftsmanship for which the city’s workshops are renowned. Adding to its prestige, the rug bears the woven signature of the workshop at the ends—an important hallmark of authenticity and quality.
