This vintage Persian Heriz Serapi area rug, dating from the early 1900s, exemplifies the timeless appeal of classic tribal design paired with a refined color palette. The central navy medallion is accented with hues of blue, red, yellow, and green, framed by corner spandrels in a luminous shade of sky blue. Woven from exceptionally fine wool and dyed using organic vegetable-based pigments, the rug displays vibrant abrash variations throughout—pale blue, navy, rust, and green—offering a dynamic interplay of color and texture.
