6’ 2” x 9’ 6” A room size hand-knotted Persian Nain Habibian from the 3rd quarter of the 1900s. The rug is very finely woven with a wool pile and a cotton foundation and silk highlights that shimmer under light. The vibrancy of the silk is unbelievable especially in the beautiful central medallion which gives the rug a sense of three dimensionality. The rug has a very high knot density. This Nain has a beautiful floral design set in an ivory color field with an ivory color border. The design colors in the field include French blue, navy blue, red, brown, and caramel.
