6’ 6” x 9’ 3” Truly one of the most beautiful Turkish Oushak rugs from the 3rd quarter of the 1800s. This Oushak rug has a cypress tree "Tree of Life" design that emanates toward the heavens. The Cypress tree is considered a universal symbol of immortality. The rug has lush wool and the use of wonderful vegetable dyes which over time develop beautiful hues. It is set in beautiful aqua blue/green and saffron yellow color field with a saffron yellow border. A masterpiece in design and colors.
