Description

Presenting a late 19th century Turkish Oushak room size rug hand-woven in Anatolia region during the late 1800s featuring a beautifully open field pattern in brilliant colors. The center of this exquisite Oushak is completely open and commands attention in a vibrant red, allowing the rich color and natural texture of the wool to truly shine.

The corners of the field are adorned with intricately designed palmette and arabesque motifs, rendered in harmonious shades of ivory, sunny yellow, and classic red. These elegant spandrels beautifully frame the open central space. The entire composition is masterfully enclosed by a wonderful major border in striking turquoise, which itself is detailed with complementary designs in ivory, yellow, and red. This thoughtful combination of hues creates a visually captivating and balanced aesthetic.
