A Curated Collection of Authentic 19th- and Early 20th-Century Handcrafted Rugs, Tapestries, and Textiles from Around the World Selected for Their Artistry, History, and Enduring Design.
This vintage Persian Shiraz tribal rug, hand-knotted in the early 1900s. Woven by the Lori tribes, with stylistic similarities to Qashqai weavings, it features the classic three vertical medallion layout—an iconic “Shiraz signature” design. The soft cream medallions contrast elegantly against a richly saturated rust and deep maroon field, creating visual rhythm and balance.
Throughout the field, stylized tree-of-life symbols and charming animal figures are woven in sapphire blue, ivory, and terracotta accents—traditional motifs that symbolize protection, abundance, and harmony.
