Description

A rare and highly collectible vintage Persian Tabriz rug showcasing an extraordinary allover Afshan geometric pattern, inspired by 19th-century Caucasian Kuba and Shirvan weavings. Handwoven in the early 20th century, this room-size masterpiece features a deep navy blue field framed by an ivory border and adorned with stylized “dragon and blossom” motifs. Rendered in vivid shades of green, blue, pink, yellow, and red, the design harmoniously blends geometric boldness with refined Persian artistry.

This rug is in wonderful condition, a testament to its quality and craftsmanship. It is particularly rare to find vintage rugs with such a consistently executed and beautiful design, and this piece is an identical pair to SKU 1261, and shares a similar design with other select pieces in our collection (SKUs 1920, 2245, and 1858). The existence of these matching or similar patterns makes this a truly remarkable and collectible find.
