Description
2’ 9” x 12’ 8” A Persian Tabriz Runner from the 4th quarter of the 1900s. The rug has a floral design. The rug has a wool pile with a cotton foundation with extensive use of silk for highlighting. The floral design is set in a cream color field with a pale green color border. The corner spandrels are in sage green and taupe color with floral designs in blue, green, and gold color silk. It has four medallions in sage green, and cream colors with floral designs in gray, gold, and brown colors. The written description cannot describe the beauty of the rug. The pictures and video do much better in conveying the beauty of the rug but don’t capture the in-person experience.
