An extraordinary early 20th century Persian Tabriz rug, room-sized and masterfully hand-knotted in a rare and striking floral design of great sophistication. Distinguished by its unique and warm caramel — wheat-toned — field with elegant scrolling floral motifs that create rhythm and movement across the surface, this piece occupies a genuinely unusual place in the Tabriz design spectrum.

The corner spandrels are rendered in a refined combination of moss green and ivory, while the central medallion in soft cream is delicately detailed with pale green and blush pink accents. The pewter-toned border adds a grounding, almost contemporary edge, beautifully contrasted by a cappuccino background and decorative flourishes in French blue, baby blue, navy, pink, yellow, and red — a palette of remarkable originality and sophistication.
