This vintage Persian Mahal Sultanabad area rug, woven in the first quarter of the 20th century, features a classic allover geometric and floral pattern set against a profound midnight blue field — echoing the celebrated designs of 19th century Ziegler Sultanabad carpets in both composition and spirit. The rug showcases large geometric forms and beautiful paisley motifs in a vibrant palette of French blue, green, pink, caramel, and brilliant ivory.
