Description

This vintage Persian Heriz rug from the early 1900s. Woven in Northwest Persia, this rug features a classic geometric pattern centered around a boldly designed medallion set against a rich red field. The medallion itself is rendered in a harmonious blend of baby blue, red, and navy, flanked by corner spandrels in vibrant tones of green, blue, red, and ivory. Bright accent colors, including pink and multiple shades of blue and green, animate the composition, adding a sense of energy and sophistication. Handwoven from fine wool and dyed using organic, naturally derived pigments, this rug is not only a statement piece but also a lasting heirloom that embodies the timeless elegance and durability of traditional Persian weaving.
