Heriz 1812

An exceptional early 20th-century Persian Heriz rug woven in a village of the Azerbaijan region in Northwest Persia, this piece stands out for its rare and highly desirable design and coloration. Uncommonly rendered in an allover Tree of Life pattern, the rug features a soft ivory field—rarely seen in Heriz pieces—accented by a beautifully faded abrash palette of blue, green, pink, red, yellow, and brown.

The rhythmic, symmetrical layout of the Tree of Life design brings both visual harmony and symbolic depth, making this rug an artistic and spiritual statement in any space. The deep navy border frames the composition with intricate geometric motifs in abrash tones of green, pink, yellow, and blue, enhancing the overall richness and sophistication.  Hand-knotted from high-quality wool, this Heriz rug remains in very good condition with a full, even pile.
