A truly exceptional and rare find, this late 19th-century Persian Heriz Serapi rug showcases an uncommon and highly desirable allover "Tree of Life" design—a departure from the typical medallion style found in most Heriz rugs. What sets this piece apart is its distinctive blue field, a rarity among Heriz weavings, where red is traditionally predominant in over 99% of examples.

Woven with fine hand-spun wool and dyed using organic vegetable dyes, the rug features a harmonious palette of abrash pale blue, rose pink, soft green, and warm yellow, framed by a rust-red border with complementary blue, pink, and yellow motifs. This gallery-sized masterpiece embodies the artistic excellence of village weaving from the last quarter of the 1800s.
