4′ x 10′11" This Persian Bidjar (Bijar) gallery (corridor) rug in an allover design with a small off center medallion was woven in the early 1900s. The Bidjar (Bijar) rug has an abrash red color field with an alternating paisley design. The field design accent colors include green, red, yellow, navy blue, French blue, and cream. The border consists of three narrow borders one in French Blue, the other in red and the last one in cream. Fascinating items in the design include small animal and human forms throughout the field and the borders.
