Malayer 1561

3' 11" x 6' 2"       A beautiful Persian Mission Malayer area rug with a truly unique medallion design in navy blue, turquoise, and terracotta colors from the early 1900s.   A great example of village weaving with the design of human and animal forms throughout.  The rug has a full pile and is in wonderful condition.  A very unique and fantastic central medallion.  The combination of a dark blue field color with a turquoise color main border makes it a wonderful piece of art for any design project.

Material:  Wool pile on a cotton foundation with natural vegetable dyes

Condition:  Full pile.  Wear consistent with age and use.
