Description

Beautiful and colorful Persian "Manchester" Kashan gallery-size Rug circa the early 1900s.  The distinguished "Manchester" designation refers to the very fine and exceptionally vibrant Merino wool that was specifically imported to Persia from Manchester, England, for the creation of these superior quality rugs. This special wool is renowned worldwide for its extreme softness, lustrous luxury, and rich sheen, qualities that are immediately evident in every fiber of this carpet, bringing a remarkable depth and glow to its colors.

This stunning Kashan features a captivating all-over vase design, creating a continuous flow of intricate motifs across its inviting medium burgundy field. The design bursts with a profusion of wonderful, rich colors, including sophisticated teal, deep navy, classic red, verdant green, delicate pink, sunny yellow, and warm brown. These vibrant hues bring the detailed floral and vase elements to life.  The composition is elegantly framed by a beautiful French blue border, intricately adorned with its own delicate floral design, providing a refined contrast that enhances the rug's overall grandeur.
