Description
5’ 7” x 9' A beautiful Persian Nain room-size rug in a very rare French blue color from the 3rd quarter of the 1900s. The Nain rug has a beautiful central medallion set in a French blue field color with cream color corner spandrels. It has a cream-colored border which provides balance to the field colors. The floral design of the rug is reminiscent of the beautiful stained glass windows in the great cathedrals of Europe such as the Norte Dame or the Chartres cathedrals in France. The use of floral patterns in the field with silk highlights makes for a great design.
