Description

This vintage Turkish Hereke rug showcases the refined weaving tradition of the renowned weaving center of Hereke, celebrated worldwide for producing some of Turkey’s most elegant and finely crafted carpets. Handwoven in the mid-20th century, this authentic vintage Hereke rug features a graceful allover botanical pattern set on a luminous light yellow–tan field, creating a warm and inviting foundation suitable for a wide range of interiors.

The field is richly decorated with flowing tree branches and delicate leaves, forming a continuous garden-inspired pattern that reflects the classical floral aesthetic associated with traditional Turkish carpet design. Soft accent colors of pink, pale blue, green, brown, gray, lavender, and burgundy add depth and visual interest while maintaining a refined, harmonious palette.

Framing the design is a pale green and brown border, which gently anchors the composition and enhances the rug’s balanced symmetry. The subtle color transitions and nuanced tones give the rug a sophisticated character that complements both traditional and contemporary interiors.
