4’ 5” x 6’ 6” A wonderful area rug from the village of Malayer in NW Persia from the early 1900s. The rug has a beautiful allover geometric design set in a rust color field. The corner spandrels are in a French blue color with a paisley design scattered throughout. The rug has a cream color main border with distinct crab-form designs in blue, red, pink, purple, and brown colors. The rug has a “distressed” look but is still very beautiful.
