5’ 1” x 6’ 2” We love this extremely rare and very collectible "near square size" Persian Ashar tribal rug from the 3rd quarter of the 1800s. This extremely early and rare Afshar with an allover geometric design pattern shows the artistry of a single weaver in creating truly a masterpiece of tribal weaving. The rug has a dark blue field with a light blue border. This Afshar area rug has a very fine weave and is in very good condition for a rug over 150 years old.
