Beautiful vintage Heriz Karajeh area rug from NW Persia circa the late 1800s.  The rug has a geometric design with three small medallions in a column.  Heriz Karajah has a navy blue background color with medallions in abrash colors of blue, ivory, and pale green surrendered with traditional stylized elements of rust, green, and ivory on a dark blue field. The Heriz Karajeh rug has a rust-red color main border and has a more refined weaving technique and color palettes.
