Vintage Persian Kashan area rug in a “Tree of Life” design.  The wonderful small area rug is very finely woven as it shows in the clarity and crispness of the design.  It has a wool pile on a cotton foundation with silk highlights.  The field is in cream color with a design that has two trees emanating toward the heavens.  Two beautiful birds are sitting on the branches.  There are flowers and tree branches designed throughout the field.  The design colors include green, blue, brown, pink, red, and cream.  The border is in maroon color with a design of willow trees throughout.
