Description
9’ 3” x 10’ 2” Vintage “near square” room-size Turkmen Ersari main carpet in an all over geometric large medallion "Gul (flower)" pattern from the late 19th century. The Turkmen Ersari rug’s design consists of three columns of octagonal medallions separated with “lattice or Kufic'' symbols in navy blue and brown. The Turkmen Ersari rug has a rich brick red color field with design accents in navy, French blue and black colors. The rug has a primary border in brick red with geometric designs in ivory, French blue and navy colors. The near square size and an overall good condition makes the rug very desirable. The rug is finished with flat woven kilim ends.
