Woven in Turkey during the second quarter of the 20th century, this room-size vintage kilim is suffused with a warmth that evokes two very different landscapes simultaneously — the earthy tones of Anatolian village life and the blazing autumn colors of New England maple trees. Red, orange, yellow, ivory, and gray flow across the surface in an all-over geometric pattern that rewards both close examination and appreciation from across a room. As a flat-woven kilim, both sides are fully usable — one face will carry softer tones from years of natural light exposure, while the reverse retains deeper, richer colors. Its generous proportions make it an outstanding choice for living rooms, dining rooms, and open-plan spaces.
