8’ 6” x 12’ 6” The vintage Persian Mahal Sultanabad room size rug with an allover design pattern of large geometric forms interwoven with larger flower forms is in the red field and a dark navy blue border. The use of bright reds, blue, pink, and shades of other colors adds to the beauty of this rug. The Ziegler Mahal Sultanabad carpets woven in Persia from the mid-1800s have become world renown and are very desirable because of their color scheme and open designs.
