During human history salt has been considered valuable as a form of money and payment. For the caravans that travel in the desert, salt becomes a life saving spice. The salt bags were woven to be used as functional pieces for protecting and transporting material and goods between their various grazing and composites. Because of the rarity, these items have become very collectible and more often used as decorative arts.
