$6,900.00

3’ x 16’       Vintage American rag runner from the early 1900s in a wonderful modern design pattern and a rainbow of brilliant colors.  The design of this early 20th century American rag runner consists of two multicolor wide bands in bright shades of green, yellow, pink and red set on a tan color background.  It has a beautiful simple design pattern and a gorgeous rainbow of brilliant colors.   Please note that runners with SKUs 1349 and 1351 have identical design and colors but are in different lengths..

The Amish and Mennonite communities in Pennsylvania wove these runners mainly for their own use using the material that they had on hand.  It is a beautiful example of an upcycling and reuse of material that has utilitarian functions but is also a representation of the art and culture that is woven into it. This American Amish Rag Runner is in stripe design and has a very modern design format and can be incorporated into any modern interior design project.
