Description
7′ 7″ x 11' The room size Azari rug has the design of the Serapi rugs from northwestern Persia. It was woven in Eastern Turkey close to the Azerbaijan province of NW Persia and on the border to the Caucasus region. The Azari Rug weaver has used high-quality "handspun" wool which they dyed using natural vegetable dyes to achieve the look and feel of the rugs from the 1800s. The natural variegated colors known as "abrash" provide variations in blue color which add to the beauty and the uniqueness of the carpet. The simplicity in the overall design and open field makes this a very desirable village carpet.
