Wonderful vintage Chinese pictorial  area rug depicting a man on the back of the horse throwing a rope loop to capture a running wild horse.  The design is set on a tan/pale pink background with multi-color border similar to the rugs from Tibet or Khotan.   The rug has a wool pile on a cotton foundation with different shades of blue, cream, and pink.  Although the rug can be used on the floor, it is also very well suited to be used as a wall art tapestry.
