Description

This traditional Persian Heriz Karajeh rug from Northwest Persia features the iconic three-medallion layout characteristic of this historic village weaving style. Woven with a rich red field, the rug showcases geometric motifs in vibrant shades of green and blue, arranged with precision and bold symmetry.

Framing the composition are light blue, ivory, and salmon-red guard borders, adding softness and contrast to the overall palette. The main border, in a deep midnight blue, is adorned with a striking sequence of colorful serrated leaf motifs—a classic regional design element that adds both movement and texture. Handwoven with durable wool and vegetable-dyed fibers, this Karajeh rug reflects a deep heritage of tribal craftsmanship and is ideally suited for both traditional and eclectic interior spaces.
