Curated Collection of Authentic 19th and the Early 20th Century Rugs, Tapestries and Textiles Artistically Handwoven in Persia, the Caucasus, Anatolia, and Around the World
This beautiful vintage Persian Isfahan room-size rug, from the second quarter of the 20th century, features a classic allover floral design set against a soft ivory field. The rug showcases the traditional Shah Abbas “Leaf and Sickle” motif, characterized by scrolling vines, stylized leaves, and intricate floral elements that reflect centuries of Persian weaving artistry.
Expertly hand-knotted with a fine weave, the rug presents a harmonious palette of French blue, red, green, soft pink, golden yellow, and brown. The richly detailed red border, accented with green, blue, and yellow tones, frames the central field, adding depth and a vibrant contrast to the overall composition.
