Description

Discover the astonishing beauty and unique artistry of this magnificent late 19th century Persian Malayer room size rug. Hand-knotted in the late 1800s, this piece from the villages of Western Persia showcases the exceptional craftsmanship and captivating designs that have made Malayer rugs highly sought after.

This rug features one of the most gorgeous and unique medallion designs, centrally placed on a warm and inviting terracotta red field. The larger medallion, in this rich terracotta hue, perfectly frames a smaller central medallion rendered in a deep dark navy blue color, creating a truly unique and beautiful visual combination.

The field surrounding the medallions is intricately filled with the classic Herati design, a beloved pattern featuring fish-like leaves and rosettes, all woven in harmonious shades of navy blue, serene baby blue, and vibrant red. The major border, in a striking red, is adorned with elegant branches and flowers in complementary colors of navy blue, baby blue, and creamy ivory, beautifully framing the central composition.  Its timeless design, unique color palette, and exceptional quality ensure it will be a cherished centerpiece for generations to come.
