1’ 6” x 3’ 4”       Beautiful and colorful vintage native American Navajo rug from the SW United States from the mid 1900s. The Navajo rug has a diamond form design consisting of five large connected diamonds. Beautiful natural color tones include green, turquoise blue, pink, yellow, brown, and black. The field is in a rich pale cream or pale yellow color. There is a brown border that frames the whole design. It has beautiful natural earth tone colors.

Navajo rugs are generally flat woven with wool for the body of the rug and usually cotton foundation. Navajo weavers use natural organic dyes that are available around their tribal land. The Navajo rugs have geometric designs and the design and symbols have religious and cultural meanings.
