3’ x 16’ 6″       Vintage Amish American rag runner from the early 1900s in pale blue, pink and wheat colors.  This beautiful rag rug has royal blue color stripes set in a pale wheat color field.  There is a hint of pale pink accent color which in combination with blue and wheat make a wonderful color palette and design pattern.  

The Amish and Mennonite communities in Pennsylvania wove these runners mainly for their own use using the material that they had on hand.  It is a beautiful example of an upcycling and reuse of material that has utilitarian functions but is also a representation of the art and culture that is woven into it. This American Amish Rag Runner is in stripe design and has a very modern design format and can be incorporated into any modern interior design project.
