8’ 11” x 12’ 2”       A beautiful Persian Tabriz hand-knotted room-size rug from the mid 1900s.  The rug has a wonderful design and a very unique and rare color combination of silk pile on a silk foundation with natural organic dyes.  The rug shimmers under light and a masterpiece of fine hand woven rugs from one of the Tabriz best workshops.   It has a wonderful floral garden design set on a French blue field color.  It has various design colors including gold, red, purple that have their own special hues because of the silk material and natural organic dyes.  The corner spandrels and the central medallion are in gold and ivory color background with designs in blue, brown and red.  The accent colors in the field include French blue, baby blue, cream, and navy blue. The color shades change drastically depending on what end of the rug one looks at it. Truly a masterpiece in design and the use of colors.
