Description

The beautiful and colorful Mahal Sultanabad room-size rug from the early 1900a has an all-over large format pattern in auburn red, navy blue, pink, chartreuse green, and cream colors.  The main field's dark auburn color is a very pleasing and ideal background color in any design. The border has a very dark blue that brings harmony to the design. The chartreuse green color brings the design of the famous Ziegler rugs from the mid-1800s from this region.   The Ziegler Mahal Sultanabad carpets woven in Persia from the mid-1800s have become world-renowned and are very desirable because of their color scheme and open designs.
