Description

Presenting  this magnificent Oversize Vintage Persian Bakhtiari rug, hand-knotted circa the mid-1900s. This exceptional carpet features a captivating geometric pattern that echoes the highly coveted designs of Persian Heriz Serapi rugs from Northwest Persia, making this a particularly desirable Bakhtiari piece.

The rug's expansive field is set against a rich dark red/burgundy background color, providing a warm and inviting foundation. A prominent central medallion and striking corner spandrels display a beautiful abrash French blue, adding a sophisticated contrast and visual depth to the composition.

The remarkable beauty of this Bakhtiari rug is further enhanced by its truly beautiful and colorful border, which stands out as one of the most exquisite among vintage tribal rugs. The astonishing range of colors, resulting from the masterful use of natural vegetable dyes, creates a harmonious palette of wonderful hues including verdant green, various blues, sunny yellow, classic red, earthy brown, and delicate pink.
