Description

A beautiful hand-hooked area rug from the mid 1900s.  The rug has a floral pattern set in a pale green background.  The center medallion is a bouquet of flowers in pastel color including pale green, yellow, ivory and pink.  The edge of the rug is a pale brown framing the design.  The essence of “American Folk Art '' the hand-hooked rugs were generally created by the individuals using simple tools and material recycling for use in their homes. The  simplicity in the design and sometimes the naiveness of the figures adds to the beauty and the charm of this vintage folk art creation in our Americana Collection.
