Description
10 ’4” x 13’ 9” Vintage hand knotted oversized Persian Kashan rug in an all over floral pattern set on a wonderful ivory color background and a pale tan color border from the mid 1900s. The design contains large format leaf, palmette, and vine motifs known as the “Shah Abbas” motif. The color palette in the field and border include ivory, tan, brown, blue, and navy. There are several distinguishing factors to this rug including great size, large format design, allover pattern and finally a rare ivory color background. The name of the workshop is woven on the ends of the rug also to the palmettes in each of the four corners.
