Description

Beautiful early 20th century Khotan area rug hand-woven in Central Asia during the first quarter of the 1900s.

This rug features a unique and captivating allover geometric pattern, which creates a continuous and harmonious visual flow across the entire surface. The design is composed of various small medallion forms, all set against a beautiful antique rust red color field. The intricate motifs are rendered in a soft and harmonious palette of pale yellow, gentle gray, creamy ivory, warm brown, and serene pale blue.

The entire composition is expertly framed by a striking pale yellow border, which features its own intricate geometric design. The combination of its bold patterns, soft colors, and powerful allover design makes this a truly special and authentic piece.
