This vintage Persian Mahal Sultanabad rug dates from the second quarter of the 20th century and showcases a masterfully woven allover Herati geometric pattern. Set against a deep midnight blue field, the intricate Herati motifs are rendered in rich shades of red, soft ivory, and muted blue, creating a harmonious and timeless aesthetic. The terracotta red border is adorned with elegant palmette forms in hues of golden yellow, sage green, soft pink, and sky blue, framing the central field with striking visual contrast.

Woven in the famed weaving centers of western Persia, Mahal Sultanabad rugs are celebrated for their durability, artistic flair, and versatility in traditional and modern interiors.
