Curated Collection of Authentic 19th and the Early 20th Century Rugs, Tapestries and Textiles Artistically Handwoven in Persia, the Caucasus, Anatolia, and Around the World
9' 1″ x 11' 6″ A beautiful hand-knotted Persian Sarouk room size rug from the 1st quarter of the 20th century. The rug is distinct in having an open and uncluttered allover design field consisting of large flower bouquet forms set on a dark red background. The use of bright colors such as yellow, red, pink, blue, and green both in the field and the border brings a beautiful color palate to this rug. The uncluttered border is similar in design to Heriz rugs from NW Persia. A wonderful piece that is around 100 years old.
