Welcome to The Persian Knot

A Curated Collection of Authentic 19th and early 20th-Century Fine Handwoven Rugs, Tapestries and Textiles From Around the World

$1,900.00

Vintage American Southwestern Pictorial Kilim area rug circa the late 20th century. The kilim has a pictorial design pattern depicting an Aztec warrior. It has beautiful bright colors of ivory, blue, red and many more. The design is enhanced by using a small “S” symbol around the border of the rug. The kilim rug is finely woven and could be used on the floor or would also be a great wall art or tapestry.

Navajo and Southwestern United States rugs are generally flat woven with wool for the body of the rug and usually cotton foundation. Navajo weavers use natural organic dyes that are available around their tribal land. The Navajo rugs have geometric designs and the design and symbols have religious and cultural meanings.
