Description
9’ 8" x 13’ 4" Wonderful example of a vintage Persian Tabriz room size rug in pale apricot color background with accent colors in green and blue from the early 1900s. The rug is in an allover pattern with a small central medallion and the corner spandrels in ivory and green. Although there is a central medallion, because the rug colors are muted, it looks to be more like an "allover" pattern with an "gracefully aged or antique" patina. The borders are pale burgundy and pale green colors. This Tabriz rug has a very tight weave and the pile is very short. The rug has the color scheme and overall feel of antique Turkish Oushak rugs but has a much finer and tighter weave than Oushak rugs. Wonderful color scheme and in an overall very good condition.
